The Manchurian President
As America rapidly fades from global leadership, it increasingly resembles a vassal state of the Chinese Communist Party.
“The Manchurian Candidate” is a classic film about a carefully groomed political candidate whose mind has been pre-programmed so that once elected, he becomes the tool of the fictional Manchurian corporation.
But since at least 2021, but actually much earlier, America has increasingly come to resemble a nation led by a Manchurian president whose policies not only do not support our national interests, but deliberately harm them and help China.
This isn’t a rare perception or an isolated opinion, either. Rather, it’s an emerging consensus for millions of Americans, and even among our elected representatives in Congress.
Let’s start with payments made to members of the Biden family.
It’s on record and undeniable that the Biden family has received tens of millions of dollars in payments from China through various companies, and over a billion dollars via energy investments and hedge fund channels, all of which are connected to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
This is not a recent development, either. Joe Biden and his family members, which now is known to include Hunter Biden, the president’s son, James Biden, the president’s brother, and of late, Hallie Biden, Beau Biden’s former wife. All have received payments from China, some for over a decade, if not longer.
These aren’t reckless or even marginal allegations, but are the findings of several investigations that include concrete documentation, communication and financial trails.
In the Impeachment Resolution in the 117th Congress issued by Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, for example, email correspondence between members of Biden’s family demonstrate “pay-for-play” deals where some of these financial payments are discussed.
One must wonder just what is being exchanged in these transactions?
What does Joe Biden possess that could be of value to China–among other nations–that would compel them to make such payments to the Biden family?
And let’s be clear, no reasonable distinction can be made between Joe Biden himself and members of his family.
So, what is China actually receiving in exchange for the money they’re paying the Bidens?
The most obvious answer is that Biden is selling his influence with regard to U.S. policy decisions. Those decision may include advantageous trade deals, access to intellectual property, and more, for China.
But, as some evidence shows, it may also include policies that are harmful to U.S. interests and even U.S. military capabilities.
Recently, Senator Lindsay Graham, a centrist Republican, noted that Biden’s defense plan further reduces America’s navy, which is already at a growing numerical disadvantage to the Chinese navy.
In a much earlier instance, while Biden was Vice President under Barack Obama, Hunter Biden signed a historic deal with the Bank of China in Beijing to establish a joint investment fund between Rosemont Seneca Partners LLC and a CCP-sponsored company, to establish Bohai Harvest RST (BHR). Rosemont Seneca is reported to have been formed in 2009 by Hunter Biden and Chris Heinz, the stepson of former Secretary of State John Kerry, among other partners.
Soon thereafter, in 2014, “BHR became an “anchor investor” in the IPO of China General Nuclear Power Corp. (CGN), a state-owned company in the nuclear reactor business, which was later charged with the theft of nuclear secrets from the U.S., resulting in ‘significant damage to our national security.’”
In short, just one “business deal” by the Biden family resulted in America’s most dangerous adversary put America’s national security at risk.
How many others transactions have resulted in the same?
That remains unclear.
What is clear is that the Biden administration is involved in policies that make life easier for China.
Representative Michael McCaul, House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman, is pressing the Biden State Department as to why it has blocked “competitive actions” of the U.S. intended to blunt sanctions and export controls aimed at companies like Huawei, and says that it "raises serious doubts about Department leaders’ willingness and ability to effectively respond to the PRC’s growing aggression."
What’s more, as described in “A President Compromised: The Biden Family Investigation” conducted by House Subcommittee on Oversight and Reform Republicans:
“President Joe Biden has participated in his family’s global business ventures with America’s adversaries. He has misused his public positions to further his family’s financial interests. These actions have created the potential for President Biden to be susceptible to influence, blackmail, or extortion by a malign or foreign entity, including the Chinese Communist Party.
There are many more instances of the Biden administration’s policies harming the U.S. and helping China.
U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) identified several damaging policies in a February 23, 2023 speech on the Senate floor, from lowering U.S. energy production, shutting down mining for key metals and minerals for solar energy, lithium batteries, to giving money to Chinese tech companies, forcing the U.S. to purchase strategic metals and other materials from China, even selling oil from our strategic reserves to China.
The list is lengthy but worth reading.
Rather than following the policies that made America’s military superior to all others, our technology unrivaled and our economy the envy of the world, the Biden administration’s policies have helped to rapidly transform the country in a shadow of its former self.
A sitting vice president–and now President–who receives payments from any foreign government is illegal. Getting paid millions of dollars from the CCP to aid and abet a government that is waging a cold war against us on every front is treason.
What should we make of the fact that there have yet to be any consequences for the Biden family?
